A Heartfelt Tribute to a Visionary
On 14 May 2025, Khazanah Research Institute, in collaboration with Asia-Europe Institute, Universiti Malaya, held a memorial lecture, “Honouring the Legacy of Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Kamal Salih.”
The event brought together friends, thought leaders, and loved ones, each carrying a story, a memory, or a lesson from their time with Tan Sri Kamal.
As an economist, policymaker, and institution builder, his contributions were far-reaching. But beyond the ideas he championed and the institutions he helped shape, it was his unwavering belief in Malaysia’s potential that left an indelible mark.
We are deeply thankful to all who spoke with such warmth and honesty, and to his family for their grace and presence.
Tan Sri Kamal’s legacy lives on, in the lives he touched, the policies he inspired, and the generations of thinkers he mentored.
