Background of Syakh Dr Abdal Hakim Murad

Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad is the founder and Dean of Cambridge Muslim College, the Aziz Foundation Professor of Islamic Studies at both Cambridge Muslim College and Ebrahim College, and the Director of Studies (Theology and Religious Studies) at Wolfson College, Cambridge.

He is currently the Shaykh Zayed Lecturer of Islamic Studies in the Faculty of Divinity at Cambridge University. He was also awarded the Pilkington Teaching Prize by Cambridge University and the King Abdullah I Prize for Islamic Thought. He lives in Cambridge, England with his family and is one of the most prolific and respected writers and thinkers on Islam and spirituality.
