On 13 May 2025, Khazanah Research Institute (KRI) conducted a Roundtable Discussion titled “Developing a Thinking Society – Making Meaningful Decisions for Both Personal and Greater Good: An Education Perspective.”The roundtable brought together educators, researchers, and policymakers to discuss how education can foster critical thinking, empathy, and responsible decision-making.The discussion emphasised the role of education in cultivating individuals who can navigate complexity, reflect deeply, and act ethically, not only for personal advancement but for the collective good. Participants also explored the challenges within current educational systems and highlighted the need for transformative approaches that promote lifelong learning and civic consciousness. As Malaysia strives to develop a resilient and reflective society, a reimagined education framework is key to nurturing future-ready citizens. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Datin Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim for graciously moderating the Roundtable Discussion. Her thoughtful guidance and incisive questions enriched the conversation and provided clarity on key issues, helping to create a space for meaningful dialogue and impactful insights.
