Roundtable Discussion: MSME Digitalisation

On 19 May 2025, Khazanah Research Institute (KRI), together with CPA Australia, held a roundtable to address the digitalisation of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The event gathered key stakeholders from government ministries, agencies, academia, and the private sector to discuss the current landscape and challenges faced by MSMEs in adopting digital tools.

The discussants highlighted extensive support programmes that are offered to MSMEs. However, challenges remain. From funding gaps, digital talent shortages and programme fragmentation, participants called for coordinated action and robust programme evaluation to drive meaningful change.
