On 12 March 2025, the Khazanah Research Institute (KRI) and the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) jointly hosted a focused group discussion (FGD) session. The FGD session is part of a collaborative research project between KRI and MBOT aimed at understanding the impacts of professional recognition in the technology and technical fields. This FGD marked the first in a series of four FGDs for the research project.
The session was attended by MBOT members from various professional and industrial backgrounds, including civil servants, academicians, and private-sector professionals from the construction, IT, and oil and gas industries. During the session, participants shared their insights on how MBOT’s professional recognition has impacted them, as well as provided input for MBOT’s future direction.
