ILMU HASANAH: Cash Transfers: The Malaysian Experience

In February 2024, Khazanah Research Institute (KRI) and Yayasan Hasanah (YH) jointly published their inaugural collaboration Discussion Paper entitled Cash Transfers: International Insights and The Malaysian Experience. This research endeavour was undertaken in the wake of the COVID-19 global health crisis to uncover insights on cash transfers as part of social protection systems. The research findings aim to support evidence-based policymaking in the areas of improving social protection and security, inducing development and economic growth, enhancing human capital development and social mobility, and promoting rights, equality, and fairness.
