The survey also revealed mismatches and popular misperceptions about the relationship between the supply of and demand for young people in the labour market and identified features of the labour market urging policy interventions.
The main report examines:
- how the education and training system prepares youth for employability;
- how young men and women go about their job search and the barriers and opportunities for getting the jobs they want;
- how young workers are doing in terms of their employment status and working conditions; and
- the perspectives and preferences of employers towards hiring young people.
